Born in Vienna in 1968, Ursula Poznanski worked as a medical journalist until the birth of her son when she started writing children’s books. Her debut young adult novel, Erebos received multiple awards (among others the German Youth Literature Award), thereby catapulting the author to international fame. Other YA novels followed such as Saeculum, her Eleria-trilogy, and Elanus. Her first adult thriller, Five, was a bestseller as well. She lives with her family near Vienna.
