Ju Honisch obtained her degree in American studies and history in Munich. She lived and worked for a while in Ireland, but now she lives in Hesse. She writes short stories and novels, which have already received two awards: the German Fantasy Prize (best novel debut) for Das Obsidianherz and the SERAPH for Schwingen aus Stein. In her spare time she composes music and writes song to relax.
A lot of what Ju Honisch writes belongs to the fantasy genre or is close to it. But you won’t find adorable fairies and romantic elves in her books. She likes suspense. She likes black humor. And what would life be without a little love?
