Born in Stuttgart in 1977, Sina Beerwald has made a name for herself through her many successful novels. In 2011 she received the NordMordAward, Schleswig-Holstein’s first mystery novel award. In 2014 she received the Samiel Award for her mystery novel Mordsmöwen that takes place on the North German island of Sylt where she lives and works as a freelance writer. She moved there with two suitcases and a ton of ideas in 2008.
